Camp MAC: Summer Arts Day Camp 2023

We offer scholarships for children who qualify for free or reduced school lunches.

Week 1: May 30-Jun 2 (T-F) 

     Heroes & Villains (AM) -- (Grades K-5) Drawing influence from books, cartoons, movies, and more, we gather inspiration from our favorite rivalries!

     Claymasters (PM) – (2-week camp, Grades K-5) Create practical and whimsical clay and art projects. Hand and wheel work. Limited enrollment of 16 campers

Week 2: Jun 5-9 (M-F)

     A Galaxy Far Away (AM) – (Grades K-5) Explore the farthest reaches of the galaxy and your imagination to master The Force within. 

     Claymasters (PM) – (Grades K-5) Week 2 of clay and art camp.

Week 3: Jun 19-23 (M-F)

     Camp Hogwarts (AM) – (Grades K-5) Do you have what it takes to be a student at the world’s most famous school of wizardry? Our favorite wand wielding friends take up residence at MAC!

     Claymasters (PM) – (2-week camp, Grades K-5) Create practical and whimsical clay and art projects. Hand and wheel work. Limited enrollment of 16 campers. 

     Youth Theatre Camp (PM) (2-week camp, Grades 1-9) MAC’s summer production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It directed by Penny Cullers. Performance on Friday, 6/30.

Week 4: Jun 26-30 (M-F) 

     Explore the Unseen (AM) – (Grades 3-8) Discover the world around you in a whole new way. Foldscopes help us see with 140 x magnification. Our discoveries fuel our wildest artistic imaginations - and creations! 

     Claymasters (PM) – (Grades K-5) Week 2 of clay and art camp.

     Youth Theatre Camp (PM) (Grades 1-9) Week 2 of Shakespeare theatre camp.

Week 5: Jul 10-14 (M-F) 

     Musical Theatre Workshop (AM) – (2-week camp, Grades 6 -12) Learn some of the great musical theatre numbers you love and some you don’t know. Sing your heart out in this fantastic and fantastical 2-week workshop. Exclusively for those who have completed grades 6+. Final performance on Friday, July 21.

     Claymasters (AM) – (2-week camp, Grades K-5) Create practical and whimsical clay and art projects. Hand and wheel work. Limited enrollment of 16 campers.

     Oceans of Kansas (PM) (Grades K-5) Discover the amazing oceanic world of late Cretaceous Kansas. 2D and 3D art exploration. At the end of camp, meet us for a local fossil-hunting expedition. 

     Here for the Drama (PM) – (Grades K-5, 1 week) Calling all thespians and techies! Join us for theatre-in-a-week! Includes mini-scripting and tech learning.

 Week 6: Jul 17-21 (M-F) 

     Musical Theatre Workshop (AM) – (Grades 6 -12) Week 2 of musical theatre camp.

     Claymasters (AM) – (Grades K-5) Week 2 of clay and art camp.

 Week 7: July 31-Aug 4 (M-F) 

     Who Dunnit? (AM) - (Grades K-5) Harness your inner detective as we play spies, solve mysteries, and more! 

     Jurassic World (PM) – (Grades K-5) Inspired by all things prehistoric…or was that just yesterday? 

Week 8: Aug 7-11 (M-F)

     Slammin‘ & Jammin’ (AM) – (Grades K-5) Write and ‘slam’ original poetry and jam with us in a Karaoke extravaganza for the final week of Camp MAC!

     Camp Hogwarts (PM) – (Grades K-5) Do you have what it takes to be a student at the world’s most famous school of wizardry? Our favorite wand wielding friends take up residence at MAC one last time!

AM Camps are 9am-12pm
PM Camps are 1-4pm

Lunch Bunch is 12-1pm and can be added on to any AM or PM camp. Lunch Bunch is included if you register for both AM/PM sessions during that week.

At this time, we do not anticipate requiring masks for camp participants.

Don't be dissuaded by a 'full' class - join the waitlist! Changes & cancellations do happen, and often spots come open in 'filled' classes.
