We will focus on advanced throwing techniques including alterations, sectional throwing, and repetition for reproduction. We will also examine glazing from the perspective of active decision making from project inception. |Holiday Gift Making||All Ages||Justice Catron||Saturday||December 2||1:00 - 3:00 pm||$60||Make unique gifts for those you care about. Participants create their own projects and are encouraged to enter the class with some idea of what you are making and for whom. The instructor will help you realize your vision. Beginning students are given an introduction to the basics of metalsmithing (forging, riveting, stamping, soldering, and the proper use of metal tools), as well as enameling. Experienced students will advance their skills under personal instructor guidance. During this 8 week course we will be using copper and brass to make a variety of projects.
