This annual exhibit features the artwork of the region's most talented artists. Including jewelry, paintings, sculpture, scarves, stoneware pieces, glasswork pieces, mugs, cards, ornaments, metalworks, and more.  Take home a gift for a loved one, or for yourself! 

Items change daily as the artwork sells, so keep coming in for the latest items on display!

Hours for Wrap It Up:

Monday - Friday, Noon-5:30pm
Saturdays 10am-2pm 


ARTISTS

If you would like to apply to exhibit in Wrap It Up, applications are accepted in August & September each year. Applying artists are juried and notified in October if they are selected. 

New artists are encouraged to review the GUIDELINES for Wrap It Up before applying. 
The form to submit an application for Wrap It Up will be found HERE in  August. 


Each year the exhibit includes dozens of participating artists; most are from the Manhattan area, with several coming from various locations all over the Midwest. Wrap It Up features many types of work including:
  • Baskets
  • Bowls
  • Ceramic sculpture
  • Drawings
  • Functional pottery
  • Jewelry (glass, silver, beaded, etc.)
  • Knitted items
  • Masks
  • Photographs
  • Hand made prints
  • Scarves
  • Tiles
  • Turned wood items
  • Watercolors

Featuring Artists Since 1999

This exhibit began in 1999 with the work of 35 artists on display. The intention was to showcase high-quality, affordable art for the gift-giving season. Wrap It Up has since expanded to include more than 80 artists from the region with a wide variety of work. Also, 35 percent of all sales proceeds benefit the Manhattan Arts Center’s facility and programming.

James A. Fletcher Memorial Award        

            

The James A. Fletcher Memorial Award competition is open to all two-dimensional artists who are Kansas residents. This annual award of $500 was created by Mavis Fletcher in 2006 in memory late husband, James A. Fletcher. The award recognizes an outstanding Kansas artist.
