Filmmaking Classes for Teens & Adults

Live Action Production & Post-Production


Day: Mondays
Time: 6:30-8:00 pm
Dates: February 6 - March 13 (6 weeks)
Ages: 14+
Cost: $115
Students will learn how to use production equipment and post-production software to present quality movies. Students will receive broad-based training and will be expected to produce actual content. Concurrent individual tutoring may be offered as well. Equipment will be provided, although smartphones may be useful as cameras.

Screenwriting


Day:  Tuesdays
Time: 6:30-8:00 pm
Dates: February 7 - March 14 (6 weeks)
Ages: 14+
Cost: $85
Work from concept to draft in this introduction to screenwriting. Students will learn about traditional cinema genres, the cinema cannon, correct formatting, and the nature of adaptations. We'll also touch on working in a writers' room, the many prerequisites for a sell-able narrative screenplay, and working with producers. Laptop or other electronic writing device required.

Animation & CGI Production


Day:  Thursdays
Time: 6:30-8:00 pm
Dates: February 9 - March 16 (6 weeks)
Ages: 14+
Cost: $95
Students will learn how to use software to present quality film animation and visual special effects. Students will receive broad-based training and will be expected to produce actual content. Concurrent individual tutoring may be offered as well.
