Morning Drawing

This class is a great introduction for further instruction in drawing or painting. Learn about the different drawing supplies, choosing a subject, and more. Specific instruction will be in pencil, colored pencil, and marker. Some supplies provided in class or you may bring pens/pencils you enjoy working with. The instructor will also provide a list upon request. 

Introduction to Drawing and Painting

Instructor: Rachel Fontenot
Tuesdays                                    Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Date: Sep 5-Oct 24 (8 weeks)           Cost: $95
The use of value, line, and proportion will be demonstrated toward the development of balanced compositions. Spend four weeks drawing and four weeks painting. Drawing will include pencil, light charcoal, and pen work and painting will move into watercolors. Some supplies provided in class or you may bring pens/pencils/watercolor paints you enjoy working with. 

Acrylic Painting

Dates: Oct 31-Dec 12 (6 weeks, no class Nov 21)
Cost: $110 (includes supplies)
Whether you are a beginner or have experience, come explore acrylic painting with us! Techniques for landscapes, still life, and more will be taught, as well as working with textures and colors. Basic supplies provided, you may bring your own or ask the instructor for a list.

Intermediate Watercolor and
Mixed Media

Date: Nov 1-Dec 13 (6 weeks, no class Nov 22)
Cost: $ 95
Designed for students with some exposure to drawing/painting, this class begins by working in watercolors and expands to add different media, including colored pencils, pen, chalk pastel, and collage. Some supplies are available in class, though students are encouraged to bring their own materials such as watercolors and pencils. The instructor can provide a list of supplies.
