Yoga in the Gallery

Be inspired and surrounded by our gallery display as we bridge art and wellness! Taught by KSU faculty member Kate Digby, we’ll learn and practice yoga principles, fundamental poses, and breath practices. Appropriate for all levels. Bring your own mat, towel, and water.      

Drawing & Painting

Drawing is the foundation of great painting! Taught by one of our superb local art teachers and Wrap It Up artists, students will learn the elements of line, value, perspective, and composition while working with both large and small shapes. The class will then explore watercolor techniques. This is great preparation for an acrylics or watercolor class. Basic supplies provided. Students in this class may also attend weekly open studio free of charge while enrolled. 

Introduction to Acrylics

Dates: Aug 1-Aug 29 (5 weeks)        
Cost: $100 (Includes basic supplies)
For beginners and intermediate painters, learn the basics of acrylic painting or expand your skills. Students will work with color and brush techniques, explore composition, and more, and work toward creating a canvas piece. Students in this class may also attend the Oil/Acrylic Studio free of charge while enrolled (no instruction provided, children must be accompanied by an adult). 

Artist Workshop: Watercolor

Instructor: Mary Gordon     
Time: 9am-12pm
Date: Saturday, June 10       
Cost: $45 (includes basic supplies)
This watercolor introduction will explore a range of materials and methods – washes, glazing, wet into wet, dry brush, lifting, and techniques for texture. Learn a variety of techniques and use a selection of materials to express yourself without the fear of experimentation. Basic supplies provided, but you may bring your own. Class will meet in the Creative Arts Annex art room.

Artist Workshop: Printmaking

Time: 9:30am-12pm 
Date: Saturday, June 24       
Cost: $45 (includes supplies)
Learn both block print and monotype printing to create usable, wearable, and givable art! No prior experience necessary and all supplies provided. We’ll be using paints, so please dress accordingly. Class will meet in the Creative Arts Annex art room.
